Seven days a week from 7:30am to 5:00pm except holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).

- Trash:$121.27 per ton with $19.80 Min. (Plus 3.6% Wa State Refuse Tax)
- Organics/Green Waste: $65.13/Ton with $13.00 Min.
- Recyclables: Free
- Household Hazardous Waste: Free
- Other charges may apply for white goods/appliances and special waste.
FAQ's
1Can I still haul my own trash?
Yes. In most areas outside the City of Spokane, refuse collection is not mandatory and you may self-haul your trash and recyclables.
2What kinds of trash can I take to the Sunshine Transfer Station?
Sunshine will accept ALL the same kinds of trash that are
currently accepted, including regular household waste,
organics/green waste, construction/demolition waste,
recyclables, moderate-risk household hazardous waste, white
goods/appliances and special waste.
3What kinds of recyclables will Sunshine accept?
Sunshine accepts the following recyclable materials:
Aluminum Cans, Tin & Steel Cans, Scrap Metal, Plastic Bottles Labeled #1, 2, 4 and 5.
Clear, green,brown and blue bottles and jars.
Clean Un-waxed cardboard.
Newspaper, cereal boxes, office paper, magazines and junk mail.
Please make sure all cans and bottles are rinsed and dried.
4I like my curbside trash pickup. Can I keep it?
Yes. Waste Management, Inc. will continue providing
residential curbside trash pickup for those
who wish to subscribe.
Curbside trash pickup remains optional.
5What are the Sunshine Transfer Station days/hours?
Days/hours at the Sunshine Transfer Station will be the same
as the current days/hours at the Sullivan Transfer Station:
Seven days a week from 7:30am to 5:00pm except holidays
(New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).
